Russian Literature (AP)
Periods 1 and 6
Hartshorne room 11
"There's a lot of flies this summer, miss."

This full year course will look at the development of Russian literature from the earliest folktales and sagas up to the 'underground' literature of the 50's and 60's. Time will be spent throughout preparing for the Advanced Placement test in Literature, offered in spring.

Required texts:
poetry of Pushkin (handouts)
A Hero of Our Time (Lermontov)
Collected Short Stories (Gogol)
