Friends,
Among the catalysts in creating this intimate project was to honor and preserve the rich history of this revered program by documenting its legacy in a kind of archive. What has unquestionably made this program both rich and revered is its alums. Therefore, this site exists as an evocative "monument" of sorts, intended to commemorate as many of those gentlemen-warriors as possible -- who've walked the hallowed halls, graced the Preuss Field, and proudly donned the coveted varsity colors of Sandy Spring Friends School.

In particular, this section was designed as a place for alums, friends and gentlemen-warriors of yore to reminisce. Only recently has the School begun to close the technological gap necessary to make this tribute an accessible reality for all to celebrate. Legendary 'Beest Coach Ari Preuss has proven invaluable in supplying as much history as possible to memorialize the program's pioneering years post 1967, through his nearly three decades at the helm, until 1995. Nonetheless, this letter is in part a clarion call for tales, statistics, and particularly photos, in helping us to still better honor times now gone. In addition, please consider gracing our grounds with an autumnal pilgrimage to the annual Alumni Game, held traditionally the day after Thanksgiving. To learn more about the Alumni Game click here.
On behalf of all those who came before me, I sincerely thank you for your invaluable contributions, whose imprints have undeniably helped fashion today's fraternal program. I humbly pledge that you will never be forgotten!
Gratefully & Respectfully,
 Eduardo Alejandro Polón
