The 2008 SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed an inspiring 10-3-4 overall regular season and playoff campaign, registering 45 goals in favor versus 15 against, and furthering a tradition of twelve consecutive winning seasons and counting.
Exemplifying the actual size of the battle in the fourth seeded ‘Beests, a Herculean playoff run that included the program's seventh consecutive final four appearance, and ninth in the past ten seasons, ended in epic fashion in a penalty kick shootout against Washington International School at OBGC Park at Freeman Fields in Olney, Maryland.
En route to claiming the 2008 PVAC Tournament banner, the program’s ninth conference championship since the fall of 1999*, the 'Beests earned 9 shutouts in 17 games. In addition, the 'Beests proudly defended their beloved Preuss Field, compiling an admirable regular & playoff season home record of 6-2-2. Furthermore, this year's team broke three program records (please refer to Hall of Fame):
- Regular Season & Playoff Career Shutouts (Sam Schneider: 41)
- Friendlies, Regular Season & Playoff Career Shutouts (Sam Schneider: 50)
- Ties (4)
Among the six graduating Gentlemen-Warriors, the 'Beests induct two four-year varsity members to the prestigious Ring-of-Honor: Assistant Captain, and four-year conference all-star, Sam Schneider and Benji Wei. This duo finishes their illustrious four-year careers on varsity with an overall record of 52-8-8 and a PVAC record of 41-5-6, including three PVAC Tournament Championships, two PVAC Regular Season Championships, one Francisco Hope Tournament crown, and one SSFS Preseason PlayDay Tournament. Additionally, they leave knowing that they helped earn a remarkable 41 shutouts in 67 regular season and playoff games.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, SSFS received two First Team PVAC All-Star honors this season: Captain Chris Jones (’08), as well as PVAC Player of the Year and Tournament Player of the Year senior goalkeeper Sam Schneider (9 shutouts in 17 games and a 0.88 GAA). Also, forward Braeden Kelly (18 goals & 5 assists for 41 points in 20 games) was the highest vote earner named to this season’s Second Team PVAC, and the only freshman all-star among the top twenty-two selections. Moreover, freshman defender Nick DiFazio received the designated honor of a Coach’s selection for his indomitable will.

Post-Season Wrap-Up
The 2007 SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed an admirable 9-4-3 overall regular season and playoff campaign, registering 45 goals in favor versus 10 against, and furthering a tradition of eleven consecutive winning seasons and counting. Along the way, junior Zheng Wang tallied the program's 600th goal before surrendering their 200th in the Coach Polón era (since 1996). Not surprisingly, therefore, the 'Beests earned 11 shutouts in 16 games. In search of an unprecedented fourth consecutive PVAC Tournament Championship, the third seeded 'Beests entered the playoffs with the conference's stingiest defense (0.30 GAA). Eventually bowing out nobly in the semifinals at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, this was the program's sixth consecutive final four appearance, and eighth in the past nine seasons. Furthermore, the 'Beests proudly defended their beloved Preuss Field, compiling a regular & playoff season home record of 5-2-1. In addition, this year's team broke and/or tied four program records (please refer to Hall of Fame):
- Consecutive Home Wins (37: from 10/04/03 to 09/17/07)
- Ties (3: tied with 1997 squad)
- Regular Season & Playoff Career Shutouts (Sam Schneider: 32)
- Friendlies, Regular Season & Playoff Career Shutouts (Sam Schneider: 41)
Among the nine graduating Gentlemen-Warriors, the 'Beests induct three four-year varsity members to the prestigious Ring-of-Honor: Captain Ashton Imlay, Assistant Captain Aaron Lewis, and Will Merritt. This trio finishes their illustrious four-year careers on varsity with an overall record of 57-7-5 and a PVAC record of 44-5-4, including three PVAC Tournament Championships, two PVAC Regular Season Championships, two Francisco Hope Tournament crowns, and one SSFS Preseason PlayDay Tournament. In addition, they leave knowing that they helped earn a remarkable 45 shutouts in 69 regular season and playoff games. In recognition of their defensive excellence, SSFS received the highest number of First Team PVAC All-Star honors this season: Holding Center Midfielder and MVP Aaron Lewis ['08 (one of only two unanimous selections)], Sweeper Ashton Imlay ('08), and junior goalkeeper Sam Schneider (11 shutouts in 16 games and a 0.63 GAA). In addition, Marking Back Augustus May ('08) received the designated honor of a Coach’s selection.

2006 SSFS MEN'S VARSITY SOCCER

Post-Season Wrap-Up
The 2006 SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed a remarkable 15-1-1 overall regular season and playoff campaign, registering 55 goals in favor versus 10 against. Laying claim to the program’s fourth PVAC League Championship, the Beests went on to complete the elusive conference double by three-peating as back-to-back-to-back PVAC Tournament Champions, following a dramatic penalty kick shootout (3-2) over Covenant Life School on the RFK Stadium Auxiliary Field in Washington, DC, furthering a tradition of ten consecutive winning seasons and counting. Furthermore, the Beests proudly defended the Preuss Field, compiling a perfect regular & playoff season record of 10-0-0, along the way to claiming their seventh and eighth PVAC Championships in eight years. In addition, the Beests broke and/or tied six program records (please refer to Hall of Fame):

- Most Career Goals (Kyle Cassidy: 84)

Among the five graduating Gentlemen-Warriors, the Beests induct two four-year varsity members to the prestigious Ring-of-Honor: Captain Kyle Cassidy (SSFS Career Goals Record Holder: 84) and Assistant Captain Ethan Price-Chu (SSFS Career Assists Record Holder: 51). Not surprisingly, and for the fourth consecutive season, the Beests distinguished themselves by earning the most PVAC All-Star selections to conclude their fall championship campaign. Led by senior Captain Kyle Cassidy (24 Goals, 2 Assists) and Assistant Captain and MVP: Player of the Year Ethan Price-Chu (6 Goals, 19 Assists) -- two of the three highest first round vote getters -- Assistant Captain and junior sweeper Ashton Imlay and sophomore goalkeeper Sam Schneider (PVAC Tournament MVP) all earned coveted First Team All-PVAC honors. In addition, junior midfielder Aaron Lewis (5 Goals, 3 Assists) is joined by senior midfielder Christopher Davis (8 Goals, 4 Assists) on the Second Team All-PVAC. Junior midfielder Sam Records (5 Goals, 6 Assists) received the designated honor of a Coach’s selection, bringing the total number of All-Star Beests to seven. Coach Polón was once again bestowed the honor of serving as one of this year's All-Star coaches.

Post-Season Wrap-Up
This season's SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed an astonishing 18-0-0 overall regular season and playoff campaign, registering a staggering 91 goals in favor versus 5 against. Laying claim to the program’s third PVAC League Championship, the Beests went on to complete the elusive conference double, and their dream season, by repeating as back-to-back PVAC Tournament Champions following a 2-0 victory over St. Anselm’s Abbey School in the Stadium Field of the Maryland SoccerPlex, furthering a tradition of nine consecutive winning seasons and counting. Among program firsts included victories over highly respected out-of-conference opponents Georgetown Day, The Heights, and Blake High School. Furthermore, the Beests proudly defended the Preuss Field, compiling a perfect 9-0-0 regular & playoff season home record.
Along the way to claiming their fifth and sixth PVAC Championships in seven years*, the Beests also won The Francisco Hope Classic for the program's third time. In addition, the Beests broke and/or tied fifteen program records and one school-wide record** (please refer to Hall of Fame):

Among the five graduating Gentlemen-Warriors, the Beests induct four four-year varsity members to the prestigious Ring-of-Honor: Captain, Steven Matthews, Assistant Captain, Chad Henry (Francisco Hope Tournament MVP), Owen Haddow, and Zack Zarker (PVAC Tournament MVP). Not surprisingly, and for the third consecutive season, the Beests, led by their Fantastic Four, distinguished themselves for most PVAC All-Star selections to conclude their fall championship and undefeated campaign (18-0-0). Led by senior Assistant Captain Chad Henry (37 Goals, 12 Assists) -- one of only two first round unanimous choices -- fellow seniors, Captain Steven Matthews (11 Goals, 17 Assists), Owen Haddow (5 Goals, 26 Assists) and Zack Zarker (PVAC Tournament MVP) all earned coveted First Team All-PVAC honors. In addition, junior midfielder Ethan Price-Chu (4 Goals, 15 Assists), a unanimous second round selection, is joined by junior striker Kyle Cassidy (33 Goals, 10 Assists) and freshman keeper Sam Schneider (0.29 GAA and only freshman all-star) on the Second Team All-PVAC. Sophomore holding midfielder Aaron Lewis received the designated honor of a Coach’s selection, bringing the total number of All-Star Beests to a program record eight. Coach Polón was once again bestowed the honor of serving as one of this year's All-Star coaches.

Post-Season Wrap-up
This season's SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed an impressive 15-2-1 overall regular season and playoff campaign (20-2-1 including the preseason), which culminated in winning the PVAC Tournament Championship 1-0 over Washington International School in the Stadium Field of the Maryland SoccerPlex, furthering a tradition of eight consecutive winning seasons and counting. Among program firsts included victories over highly respected out-of-conference opponents Sidwell Friends, St. Andrew's Episcopal, and Maret. Of the team's lone two losses, both were one-goal affairs, and eventually redeemed in the playoffs, exemplifying the actual size of the battle in the Beest. Furthermore, the Beests proudly defended the Preuss Field, compiling a perfect 9-0-0 regular & playoff season home record.
Along the way to claiming their third PVAC Championship in six years, and doing so without surrendering a single goal throughout their magical playoff run, the Beests also met a pair of additional team goals by winning 1) their inaugural SSFS Preseason Play-Day and 2) The Francisco Hope Classic, the latter for the program's second time. In addition, the Beests broke and/or tied thirteen program records (please refer to Hall of Fame):

Not surprisingly, the champion Beests led the way for most PVAC All-Star selections. Senior Captain, Michael Davis -- the only unanimous choice -- along with junior Chad Henry (Francisco Hope Tournament MVP) and 8th Grade phenom Chris Agorsor were named First Team All-PVAC selections, while Assistant Captain Steven Matthews and fellow junior Zack Zarker comfortably made Second Team. Junior midfielder Owen Haddow earned Honorable Mention status, while sophomore mid-fielder Ethan Price-Chu once again received the designated honor of a Coach's selection, bringing the total number of All-Star Beests to a whopping seven. Coach Polón was bestowed the honor of serving as one of this year's All-Star coaches.

2003 SSFS MEN'S VARSITY SOCCER
Post-Season Wrap-up
This season's SSFS Men's Varsity Soccer Team completed
an impressive 11-6-0 overall campaign (7-3-0
in PVAC) bowing out nobly in the conference semifinals
0-1, furthering a tradition of seven consecutive winning seasons
and counting. Of the six losses, five were one-goal affairs, exemplifying
the actual size of the battle in the Beest. Furthermore, the Beests
proudly defended the Preuss Field, compiling a near perfect 8-1-0
regular & playoff season home record.
Along the way, the number three seeded Beests broke and/or tied

Among the five graduating Gentlemen-Warriors, the Beests induct
two four-year varsity members to the prestigious Ring-of-Honor:
Andrew Eden & Trevor Zarker. Not surprisingly, the Beests tied
conference champions WIS in leading the way for most PVAC All-Star
selections. Senior leaders Andrew Eden and Trevor Zarker were First
Team selections, while Assistant Captain Michael Davis and sophomore
Chad Henry comfortably made Second Team. As a result of Chad’s
severe ankle sprain, Coach Polón selected fellow sophomore
Steven Matthews as his deserving alternate, while senior Christopher
Shank was bestowed the honor of serving as one of two reserve keepers
for the All-Star Game. In addition, freshman Rookie-of-the-Year
Ethan Price-Chu was a Coach’s selection, bringing the total
number of All-Star Beests to a whopping seven. Coach Polón
was bestowed the honor of serving as one of this year's two All-Star
coaches.
In conclusion, this season could not have been possible were
