Expository Writing Index

Work you submit for class must follow the prescribed format. If your work does not follow the format, I will return it to you and you will have one day to reformat and resubmit. All work turned in should be carefully edited for spelling and the conventions of English. Feel free to use the Spell/Grammar Checker in Word, but do not depend on it. It will not correct every error and it sometimes recommends inaccurate changes. Even if you run your work through the Checker, you will still need to read it carefully (correct any errors-no more than five per page-by marking through them with a black pen and rewriting neatly above the error). i suggest you read your essay out loud and backwards, sentence by sentence. Major and numerous errors require computer editing and reprinting.
