How do his experiences change him? Give an example.

For Tuesday, April 29, please finish Soldier's Heart and write a thoughtful book review. Your introduction should summarize the book and discuss the theme. The middle section should examine one or more key events in the story. In your conclusion, please examine the question: would you recommend this book to others? Why or why not?

May 29 Please bring in any papers you have written, as well as your Write Source (we'll hold onto it for next year ) and any English books that you do not want to keep.

By next Monday, please have finished your portfolio. This should include three examples of your best writing (doesn't have to be from English class) - or more. Your portfolio should have a table of contents and a spiffy cover, and a cover letter to your 8th grade English teacher, explaining to him/her why you chose these pieces, and reflection on your growth this year as a reader, writer and thinker.
