About Leah

Leah was born in Auburn, New York. She attended Auburn High School, where she ran Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track. After graduating in 1993, Leah attended Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and during her junior year attended the Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain after participating in the Summer Institute of Hispanic Studies in León, Spain.


Leah graduated from Hamilton College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She then attended Middlebury College's summer immersion graduate program in Middlebury, Vermont, for four summers, earning a Master of Arts in Spanish in 2002.


Leah currently teaches Spanish language at Sandy Spring Friends School. She is the assistant coach for Cross Country and Track and Field, and proudly offers the Lower School Running Club during the winter. Leah also serves as the 12th Grade Dean.


Leah and husband Frank Niepold III live in Brookeville, Maryland with their three sons.
