Upon her return to the United States a few years later, she continued to study French and, after studying French, German, and Mandarin Chinese and graduating with a B.A. in Modern Languages from Union College, she took a job teaching French at the Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ.
She then went on to teach at Miss Hall's School, Cushing Academy, and Westtown School. Paummi earned her M.A.T. with concentration in French and English as foreign languages and endorsements in multi-cultural and bi-lingual education from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. Paummi taught French in the Middle School at SSFS for three years before she met her husband, Jeanmi, on a trip to France. She left to join him in the southern French Alps where they were married and where their son, Cidjay, was born on September 30, 2006. She returns now to live and teach at SSFS with her family and their dog, Sam.
Paummi is currently living on dorm, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), American Culture, Grammar Writing Workshop, and French 3. She’s loving catching up with former colleagues, students, and their parents, as well as introducing her husband and son to the community.
